The Deep Magic of Double Brackets

Can they take punctuation, or must they have spaces around them?

For example, I want to change:

read [[sitename]] official journals:

to:

read [[sitename]]'s official journals:

Will that mess up the double-bracketed magic?

You can do that just fine. But, it'll look funny when rendered, since [[sitename]] is Dreamwidth Studios - you'll get "Read Dreamwidth Studios's official journals:" as a result.

Meh, not in my opinion. It's like saying "Read NBC official journals" or "Read Microsoft official journals" or "Read LiveJournal official journals" -- it reads fine to me. *shrug*

If you really wanted, it probably wouldn't be the end of the world to just do [[sitename]]' so it renders as "Read Dreamwidth Studios' official journals:"

As long as what you're adding is outside the brackets, it's all good!
