new FAQ needed: Selective Screening

Hello, good people of docs! I come to you today bearing tidings of a new feature that is scheduled to go live on the site in the next few days. It is called Selective Screening and there's a post up in [site community profile] dw_dev describing how it works.

In order to explain this new functionality to our users, I believe a new FAQ is needed, with a title like "What is Selective Screening?" that explains what it does and how to use it. It doesn't have to be anything major; something similar to FAQ 58 would be quite sufficient.

I believe the following FAQs should also be updated to mention the feature and/or link to the new FAQ:

  • FAQ 9: How do I control who can comment on my journal?

  • FAQ 59: What can I do about unwanted comments?

  • FAQ 120: What are Dreamwidth's new features?

Thank you for your help!

[draft] What is Selective Screening?

Selective screening allows you to make sure that all future comments left by a particular user in your journal, or a community under your control, are [http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse?faqid=60] screened[/link].

You may un-screen specific comments. If you allow anonymous comments to appear unscreened, this setting will not screen an anonymous comment left by this user while logged in.

This setting can be controlled from the [link]Admin Console[/link].

screen_set username

will add the user to the list of users whose comments will be automatically screened.

screen_unset username

will remove the user from the list of users whose comments will be automatically screened.

screen list

will list the users whose comments will be automatically screened.

For communities, use the commands:

screen_set username from community

screen_unset username from community

screen_list from community

This setting will not screen any comments left by this user before they were added to the selective screening list. You can also can [http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse?faqid=58]ban[/link] that user, and [http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse?faqid=75]remove them from your access list[/link] (if they're on it).

Missing an underscore in screen list - otherwise looks good to me!
