New FAQ on YouTube embeds not working

Issue
Embeds from YouTube don't show up when posted using the default embed codes provided by YouTube.

Information
YouTube has changed the embed code they provide, which causes display issues when used on Dreamwidth.

The current work-around is to select the "use old embed code" option when selecting the embed code on YouTube. It is a check box under the embed code field. Please see YouTube's documentation for further details on this process.


The current workaround is to find the part of the embed code that says src="//youtube.com and change that to src="http://youtube.com



This bug will be fixed pretty soon (someone's claimed it already so I am hopeful), but until then, I figured a FAQ would be useful. I've linked to it from the BBB also.

Yeah, the work around is now also not working unfortunately. Darn!

You should be able to manually fix it by looking for the part that contains:

embed src="//www.youtube.com

and change the src="//youtube.com to src="http://youtube.com.
