DREAMWIDTH DOCUMENTATION TEAM VOLUNTEERS APPLICATION

Well that didn't take long, did it? Application under the cut.

DREAMWIDTH DOCUMENTATION TEAM VOLUNTEERS APPLICATION

Please answer the following questions and include the following information:

1. Your Dreamwidth Journal Name (this is your username, not the title of your journal). Include the names of your other journals and any communities you administer if it's applicable; we want to get a feel for who you are and how you're using the site.

2. Do you want to write? Edit and proofread? Both? (You don't need to know how to do these things already.)

3. What kind of experience do you have with sites similar to Dreamwidth, or with Dreamwidth itself? This would include keeping a journal, running a community, volunteering, and so on.

4. What kind of experience do you have either writing or proofreading? (Experience isn't required -- we'll teach you -- we just want to know where you'll be starting from.)

5. How many hours per week will you be able to volunteer? (The training process is fairly time-intensive, as it requires frequent participation in [site community profile] dw_docs_training.)

6. When can you start? Are there any periods during which you might be unavailable for training or site work?

7. The training process is both hands-on and public: material you write will be posted in [site community profile] dw_docs_training for all members of the community to see and to comment on. Will this be a problem for you?

8. To be accepted as a volunteer, you must sign a Contributor Licensing Agreement. The Contributor Licensing Agreement (CLA) is to make sure you can't be held responsible for the work in the future, that you retain intellectual property rights to your creation, and that you specifically grant us a permanent license to the intellectual property represented in your submission. You can find out more information and a download a copy of the form on this page of the Dreamwidth Wiki.

9. Anything else you'd like to add?

Please mail your completed form to BOTH rho (rho -at- rho -dot- me -dot- uk) and ivorygates (ivorygates -at- gmail -dot- com) with the subject line: "Dreamwidth Documentation Application"
