FAQ people!

How are you all getting on? I have copy editors pestering me for FAQs that they can go and proof read. If you have a FAQ category and/or guide that's in a more-or less finished state, can you let me know so I can set our copy editors loose on it?

If you haven't, remember that I'm aiming to have at least a first draft of everything up by the 23rd so that we have a week to polish up before Open Beta. If you're not going to be able to get things done by then (and doubly if you aren't going to be able to get things done by the 30th), can you please, please let me know, so that we can figure out what we're going to do.

I don't want to, but if it gets to the 23rd and you haven't either put your FAQs on site or spoken to me about where you're at, I'm going to have to assume that you're not going to be able to get things written on time, and I'll reassign them to someone else.

Comments FAQ is as done as I can make it at this stage, and I would be delighted if some keen eyes want to proofread it! I haven't started on my guide (=getting started on DW), and I don't honestly know if it will be done by 23rd. But I'll see what I can do.

Apart from the access filters FAQ which I really need to finish, the relationship FAQs are ready to be polished up.

I haven't started on the relationship guide, mostly because I don't know where to start or how to organise it. (Though I've been reading religiously all the metafandom posts on the subject. Makes for fascinating reading :) )

Hey, Rho. I admit to being extremely slow on my section. It's been a very troublematic six months, but I'm trying to catch up. (I am still missing the computer that has my 'access' tools, ie. voice recognition software, which was the initial holdup, along with my skippy health, but I'm just going to have to deal.)

ETA: I have a list of FAQs in .doc format on my computer; it's not like they're not done, I just haven't had a chance to follow up with Ursie or chase people down for clarification on bits I'm unclear on.

First off, don't worry about being slow. Health issues come first, always.

That said, can you coordinate with Ursie? I'd asked her if she could fill in for you since you seemed to have gone AWOL, so she may have been working on the same things. Can I just let you two figure out between yourselves what you have between you and how you want to go on and get them finished?

Thanks. It's been frustrating to go backwards so rapidly the last 6 months. It's not that this stuff takes me any time, it's that my branez and hands have to be going in the same direction to make it work.

I emailed Ursie already. *nods* I hope I haven't doubled up on her work but maybe I can fill in some things she's not got to yet. :p I did check what was up so far and I haven't done, but she may not have put hers up yet either.
